How to Add contacts to your Blocking mode - Android

Select contacts to receive calls from even iii you're ignoring everyone else

Blocking mode is a very useful function that enables you to turn off notifications for everything from updates to phone calls during those times when you're in a meeting, sleeping or you have just had enough of communication.
When you are in Blocking mode, you can still hear audio from music or videos on the device but won't be disturbed by an incoming emails or phone calls. Bliss! The mode comes with a small list of settings that you can tweak to your liking and one such setting is the Allowed Contacts list. This handy option allows you to select your nearest and dearest-those you would take a call from even in the middle of the most important meeting - and put them on a whitelist. This means that even when you're in Blocking mode you will be able to receive calls from only these contacts. Note that you will need to activate the mode before tweaking its settings and making a selection of those people who are always important to talk to.

1: Open Settings menu
Tap the Settings icon from your list of apps and scroll down the Device options. Locate 'Blocking mode' and tap it to open up the menu. Note that if Blocking mode is currently disabled, the menu options will be greyed out.

2: Turn blocking on
On the top of the Blocking mode menu there's an on/off button. Slide this from the left to the right to switch the function on. When it is turned on, you'll see all menu options enabled. By default, no features will be ticked.

3: Select function features
Under the Features options, select which functions you would like disabled when in Blocking mode by tapping the box next to each item. The options that you choose will be enabled every time you switch Blocking mode on.

4: Set allowed contacts
Scroll to the bottom of the Blocking mode menu and tap Allowed Contacts. By default there will be none added. Select Custom and then tap the Add icon to open up contacts on your phone.Tap to select the contacts you want to add.

5: View current list
To see who's currently on your list of allowed contacts, tap the last option on the menu, 'Allowed contact list'. Here you'll see the names of people that you can receive calls from even when you've set your phone to Blocking mode.
